Our next gig - Reccomended: BBC Norfolk Music Video Festival |
Digging deeperYou can forget most of acts in the BBC's Sound of 2011 poll: they're generally sounds that are created or manipulated to have mass appeal. So if you prefer music with its edgy excitement, passion and integrity still intact, wombatwombat's first gig of 2011 – and the curtain raiser to our 11th year of promoting – has all that. Join us at Norwich Arts Centre on Friday 25 February for a delicious pick-and-mix bill of hot new acts that emerged last year and which we reckon are set to burn an indelible impression on 2011. Whatever your preferred genre, there'll be something that tickles your taste buds in our cocktail of aural pleasure; how about the psychedelicate noise pop of Blue On Blue, C.O.L.L's angsty hip-hop/rap or the intense sensory symphonies of Typewriter Radio. Oh, and Howlback Hum has a programme of tasty bands in the bar too, starring The Winter Visitors, Octagon Court, Graham The Barlights Horne, The Gore Vidals and Dandelion & The Rockets. Tickets are just £5 in advance – on sale now from NAC (01603 660352), Soundclash (01603 761004) and UEA (01603 508050) or online – or £7 on the door, from 8pm. Don't miss this, it's going to be awesome! |
