Digging deeperHot on the heels of our showcase for Norwich Sound & Vision 2012 inc John Peel Festival of New Music, we're super-excited to host another Norwich debut, this time for the gobsmacking Dublin duo We Cut Corners. They play a diversely glorious mix of scuzzy guitar-shredding with drums, some shouting and stripped-back harmonies to create short lo-fi pop songs that'll wedge in your head, thanks to their meaty musical hooks and alternately sweetly caustic and witty lyrics. Hotly-tipped by blogers and the traditional press alike, we recommend you catch 'em right now: it's the right time and NAC's the perfect venue on Friday 26 October. Talking of perfect, Khan provide an aggressively meaty match for We Cut Corners' songs of considerable volume, with Kings & Crows serving up suitably complementary slices of witty pop with a macabre twist. |
