Digging deeperSuper-excited that our first gig of 2012 sets the tone for the rest of the year showcasing some seriously individual bands with an exciting edge. Friday 24 February 2012 stars Electricity in our Homes: a band that has enjoyed a cult following since day-one in 2007, which makes an appearance three days before the drop of their debut album even more of a thrilling prospect. As their Fierce Panda PR notes re the long-overdue release: "If nothing else [it] shows how the trio have been moulding careerist convention to suit their own means in the shadows of this hyperfrantic get-rich-quick-or-split-up-trying music industry." Cool or what. Support comes from contemporary art-poppers extraordinaire, Octagon Court, and relative newcomers Invisible Cities waving a very cool list of influences. Another ace night's guaranteed. |
