Our next gig - Reccomended: BBC Norfolk Music Video Festival |
Digging deeperHey, hope you had a great summer of scorching hot music. Among other things, assorted members of team wombatwombat enjoyed chilling with Crystal Castles at various festivals, Pulled Apart By Horses' in-store at Dogfish, our Waterloo Park walkabout and violet violet's farewell celebration at Norwich Puppet Theatre. And now it's almost time for our back to school gig at Norwich Arts Centre on Friday 10 September, where we're super-excited to be hosting a Holy Roar double bill. That's Welsh post-rock/electro mash-up meisters Gallops, playing their first Norwich gig, with main support from local screamo heroes Maths, who are making their long-awaited ww debut. And we're delighted that our bill is being opened by the Norwich teen Game Boy manipulator extraordinaire known as epichunt, who – at last year's Next Big Thing final – became the youngest person to have played UEA.
Talking of firsts, there's a lot of such activity in Norwich this September. Thursday 16 sees the launch of the inaugural Sound & Vision convention, ie live music, film screenings and other interactive performances plus a conference with experts from the music, film, TV and games industries. See you down the front soon! |
