Digging deeperNow's a very exciting time for wombatwombat to welcome back The Joy Formidable – a little more three years since they last played for us and just over five years since our first collaboration, when all the signs were there: this band is going to become massive – it's two days after the release of their second album, Wolf's Law. Please join us at our co-promo with The Waterfront on Wednesday 23 January 2013 but first check out Rhydian's interview with Outline magazine and feast your eyes on this US interview with Fuse TV for some info about the album and TJF's own headline shows and their tour support with Muse. A little annoyingly there are adverts at the start, and end, but stick with it and don't be confused by mention of the US release date for the album, one day after it drops in the UK!
And there's more noise from Wales in the shape of tour support WE//ARE//ANIMAL. Doors are at 7.30pm: don't be late! Unfortunately an accident means PSALMS are no longer able to play this show but you should still check out their most impressive debut recording Low Plane and join their mailing list from the link on their website to make sure you're one of the first to know about their postponed launch gig: this is definitely a band to keep tabs on. And there's one more thing: you can catch TJF doing a free live in-store and signing session at HMV in Gentleman's Walk at 5pm. |
